Responsibilities

Monitor daily cash across currencies and keep funds positioned so payouts run smoothly.
Reconcile balances and investigate differences until they are resolved and documented.
Support the payout process, including failures and exceptions.
Manage currency conversion and monitor transaction costs.
Apply financial controls and keep a clean audit trail.
Produce weekly cash reporting and the monthly treasury pack.
Prepare tax filings and support the accountants and auditors.
Track chargebacks and disputes, and manage provider and bank relationships.

Skills

3+ years in treasury, payment operations or finance, at a fintech, payment provider, bank or marketplace.
Strong double entry bookkeeping. You can read a trial balance and explain why it moved.
Hands on multi currency experience, including conversion and settlement timing.
Advanced spreadsheets, and comfort with large transaction files.
Clear written English. You can explain a variance to someone outside finance.
Care with detail, and the habit of stopping to ask when a number looks wrong.

Nice-to-Haves

SQL, or a willingness to learn it.
Experience with payment providers or marketplace settlement.
Nigerian VAT and FIRS filing experience.
ICAN, ACCA, ACA or CIMA. Part qualification is fine.
